Sometimes, like now, I want to be in the gothic surface-world of Cambriel. I want to express the gothic beauty I have seen in my life, and create a dark and beautiful aesthetic.
Cambriel is inward-focused. It’s about Ophelia’s personal journey. Her love with Shelley is so weak. I want to learn from the fantasy novels about having the romance in the story, but the story really being about a character’s development.
I feel like I am already solid on the message I want to give. My message in The Siren is the perfect message.
Coming back to Ophelia’s past-life role as a performer—which she finds very gratifying.

This morning I feel drawn to organize and make a product with things I’ve already finished. Putting it together… the stories and the crafts.
I did this with Cambriel.
This weekend… making potato galettes and fennel pork tenderloin.
Finishing Gisela’s dress
What if I changed Aspyn’s name?
Kit – John Keats – Johnny.
It would have 18th century flair.
Marguerite and Violette.
Kit.
Gisela and Ivory.
Angelica and Chamille…

The Passion of Eve seems better than Cambriel because it is passion-driven. There’s a compulsion there, and the story is unfolding itself. However I would be turning toward the historical and away from my new world I created.
How to save Cambriel though?

The Gothic Beauty model on the cover has an awesome Lady Hildegarde look… I am really into the look that builds a frame around the face… and the blood-red color.
There’s a tutorial in here on how to make mini hats out of sour cream containers. Yes.
Okay, one idea I have now is to expand Lady Hildegarde’s castle/The Summerhouse with doll photos… all kinds of doll photos, and object photos, and stuff too. Of course… I have no website now, which is a problem.

Yesterday I read Gothic Beauty by the creek.
