Dark Series

  • Dark Prince (1999) – Raven Whitney, Mikhail Dubrinsky. Read in 2003.
  • Dark Desire (1999) – Shea O’Halloran, Jacques Dubrinsky. Read in 2003.
  • Dark Gold (2000) – Alexandria Houton, Aidan Savage. Read.
  • Dark Magic (2000) – Savannah Dubrinsky, Gregori Daratrazanoff. Not read.
  • Dark Challenge (2000) – Desari Daratrazanoff, Julian Savage. Read in 2015.
  • Dark Fire (2001) – Tempest, Darius Daratrazanoff. Read in 2001.
  • Dark Dream (After Twilight) (2001) – Sara Marten, Falcon. Read.
  • Dark Legend (2002) – Francesca Del Ponce, Gabriel Daratrazanoff. Read in 2002.
  • Dark Guardian (2002) – Jaxon Montgomery, Lucian Daratrazanoff. Not read.
  • Dark Symphony (2003) – Antoinetta Scarletti, Byron Justicano. Read mid-00’s and 2019.
  • Dark Descent (novella) (2003). Since I had The Only One, the anthology in which this story was published, it’s likely I read it, but I don’t remember it. The new cover for the e-book is gorgeous, hearkening back to the Dark Fire-era artwork I loved. I wish they would continue releasing books with cover art along these lines.
  • Dark Melody (2003). I know for certain this is one I have not read.
  • Dark Destiny (2004). I don’t think I’ve read this.
  • Dark Hunger (novella) (2004). I don’t think I’ve read this story. It’s part of the De La Cruz arc. I have read two novels within that five-story arc, Dark Secret and Dark Posession, with Dark Curse and Dark Predator on my to-read list.
  • Dark Secret (2005). Read. I read this last summer (2019) for the first time. I did not care for the hero, Rafael, very much at all. However, I did like the heroine, Colby Jansen. This book intersects with the Dragonseeker arc.
  • Dark Demon (2006). Read. I read this one also last summer, soon after finishing Dark Secret, because Natalya and Vikirnoff had been introduced in Dark Secret. This book featured a lot of vampire hunt stand-offs, which could grow tedious, but I very much enjoyed this book for the heroine, Natalya.
  • Dark Celebration (2006). I’ve definitely never read this one. It’s supposed to be a reunion story of sorts, so it’s hard to imagine how it comes together as a novel.
  • Dark Possession (2007). This book was the first I read about the De La Cruz brothers, and I enjoyed it quite a bit, except for the appearance contemplations. The heroine, MaryAnn, had been introduced in a previous book I read, but I don’t remember which one, and she was rather memorable as being a girly-girl (although, of course, she’s quite a dedicated social worker). I liked Manolito for the most part, but this was another one where the hero went into ruminations about how she wasn’t-quite-what-he-imagined, appearance-wise, and I was like, WTF? Wish the stories would quit with that.
  • Dark Curse (2008). I want to read this one. I believe the heroine, Lara, is the daughter of Razvan, who’s a very far gone, near-vampire Carpathian. For some reason, I’m picturing a story similar to those of her Game series.
  • Dark Slayer (2009) – Ivory Malinov, Razvan Dragonseeker. Read in 2021.
  • Dark Peril (2010). Read. I read this one more recently, after finding it in an antique shop. It was set in South America, so there was a lot of crossover with the De La Cruz books. The heroine, Solange, was acquainted with the other De La Cruz individuals. This one was another one where the appearance thing became irksome. I don’t remember the hero directly disparaging her appearance, but he might have.
  • Dark Predator (2011) – Marguarita Fernandez, Zacarias De La Cruz. Read in 2021.
  • Dark Storm (2012). Have not read. The hero’s name is Danutdaxton, which, if for no other reason, makes me want to read it. According to my Google search, the name doesn’t appear to exist outside of the novel.
  • Dark Lycan (2013). Have not read.
  • Dark Wolf (2014). Have not read.
  • Dark Blood (2014). Have not read.
  • Dark Crime (novella) (2016). Have not read. It seems it was like released in 2014 or 2015 in another book, but I don’t know which one.
  • Dark Ghost (2015). Have not read.
  • Dark Promises (2016) – Gabrielle Sanders, Aleksei; Trixie, Fane. Read in 2021.
  • Dark Carousel (2016) – Charlotte Vintage, Tariq Asenguard. Read in 2021.
  • Dark Legacy (2017) – Emeline Sanchez, Dragomir Koziel. Read in 2021.
  • Dark Sentinel (2018). Have not read.
  • Dark Illusion (2019). Have not read.
  • Dark Song (2020). Have not read.
  • Dark Tarot (2021). TBA.

The Scarletti Curse (2001), which I had read in college.
