Today, I got back to working on my prospectus. Almost the whole day was spent finding my train of thought on it from ten days ago. But it was a day of work on the prospectus, and tomorrow, I will be able to move forward on it. I also read a text I plan to… Continue reading

It’s been a memorable week. I’m grateful we emerged safely. We’re not really out of the fog yet even if we’ve made it through some particularly difficult things. The winter storm was too much for the Texas electrical grid, and millions lost power for days, ourselves included, in temperatures that went below zero. Those couple… Continue reading

I am adding to the Archive with old photos I recovered from iCloud. I just got an iPhone 11 and recovered my iCloud account, which held around 900 photos from 2015-2018, and a few from a few years before that. I downloaded them so that I could clear the account. Continue reading

My summer with Gerald Vizenor’s haiku
This summer with Gerald Vizenor’s haiku I will never forget. Walking in the hot sun to the mailbox to get another small book from Amazon. Leafing through these small books with fine, old paper, beautiful Japanese calligraphy and photography, and Gerald Vizenor’s too-vigorous words which cut across the calm and complacency of nostalgic feelings. Continue reading

Iris basket tea towel
I recently finished this embroidery and made it up into a tea towel. I like the design, but the threads were a little pale against the ivory background, and it appears a little washed-out. Continue reading

Furry family members
This week we adopted a new furry family member. This is Violet, a nine-year old gray miniature schnauzer. After Violet was groomed and given her own tags and collar, she looked pleased and proud. Chevre, my miniature poodle, adopted in 2010. Jade Moon, after a dust bath. We adopted him in 2014. Continue reading
