Background: At home, Dresden is Ophelia’s younger sister. Having the most in common in my doll family, the two stick together. In the Cristalle storyline, Dresden’s story is told in Rose Briar. She is the daughter of Scarlet, a vampire. Dresden is close friends with Jude, but she does not share Jude’s desire to be more than friends. Dresden is convinced that her soulmate is Johnny Angel, a young man she has never met. She leaves home to escape her oppressive family and pressure from Jude with the intention to uncover information about Johnny. On her journey, Dresden recovers memories of her past life as Gisele, and her feelings about the others in her life change. When she returns home, Dresden finds that Jude has since become engaged to Frances and that Johnny has shown up in her hometown in her absence. Dresden and Johnny become close friends, but Dresden realizes that Gisele’s feelings of love for Josian persist within her and that she can never love anyone else.
